Light showers are expected in Milwaukee July 19 for first day of Air & Water Show

Must read

Light rain is expected in the Milwaukee area through the early afternoon hours on July 19, forecasters say, but it’s not clear how it may affect the WaterStone Bank Air & Water Show.

Some rain showers are possible through the early afternoon, said Denny VanCleve, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Sullivan.

There may be some redevelopment later in the afternoon. Most places in the Milwaukee area will probably see under a quarter inch of rain, unless you get caught under a small storm, he said.

There is a 20% chance of a thunderstorm in the Milwaukee area between 6 and 9 p.m., said Sarah Marquardt, another NWS meteorologist.

There are currently no weather advisories in effect.

It is unclear how the weather may affect the Air and Water Show, which takes place July 19-20 on Milwaukee’s lakefront.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has reached out to the show for more information.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron is set to take to the skies over Lake Michigan (and Milwaukee) at 3 p.m. both days of the air show.
