LSU-Shreveport’s historic championship baseball team has been invited to the White House to receive congratulations from President Donald Trump.
The LSUS Pilots capped their record 59-0 season by winning the 2025 NAIA national championship.

Republican Louisiana U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy praised the Pilots and welcomed the White House invitation on a call with reporters Tuesday. “Go Pilots,” Cassidy said.
Details for the visit are to be determined later.
Republican U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Shreveport native, helped arrange the invitation.
During a celebration, Johnson said, “I wanted to let you know that President Trump shares our excitement about all of this as well, an he wants to invite the team for a visit and celebration at the White House.”
