Investigators have arrested a 70-year-old man in connection with a deadly shooting at a Lucerne Valley home on Tuesday.
Arthur James Archuleta was taken into custody shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Lucerne Valley Substation and booked on suspicion of murder, county jail records show.
The shooting was first reported shortly before 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 10200 block of Alamo Avenue, according to sheriff’s officials and logs.

Responding deputies encountered a man who had been shot, sheriff’s department spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said. He died from his wounds at the scene.
The victims identity was not released by coroner’s officials Wednesday.
Archuleta was detained for questioning before formally being arrested as a suspect in the killing hours later, records show.
He was listed in public records as a resident of the home where the shooting took place.
No further details were available.
He was being held without bail pending an initial court appearance, which was scheduled Thursday in the Victorville branch of San Bernaridino County Superior Court.
