Man arrested in connection to swastika vandalism in Manchester

Manchester Police arrested a city man in connection with a swastika being found graffitied on the front door of The Hop Knot on Elm Street earlier this month.

The swastika was found drawn on the front door at The Hop Knot at 1000 Elm St. in the early morning hours of Aug. 7.

The Hop Knot is known for its fresh-baked pretzels and craft beer selection.

Jason Brunelle, 46, of Manchester, was arrested Wednesday evening after police issued an arrest warrant and he turned himself in, according to a news release. He was charged with criminal mischief and criminal threatening.

Manchester Police have been in communication with the Attorney General’s Civil Rights Unit regarding this investigation.
