A 20-year-old man shot in downtown Augusta early Sunday has been charged in the incident.
Gunshots in the 900 block of Ellis Street brought several on-duty Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators about 1:45 a.m. June 222, according to the RCSO.
They aided Demari Gaines, found with gunshot wounds, until an ambulance took him to Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.
