A man was found stabbed to death in a field in Victorville early Tuesday, authorities said.
The stabbing, which was being investigated as a homicide, was first reported about 3 a.m. in a dirt field behind a Burger King restaurant at Palmdale Road and Highway 395, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

“Deputies responded to the area after a male subject was stabbed,” agency spokeswoman Gloria Orejel said. “The victim was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.”
The victim’s identity was not yet released.
No further details, including a suspect description or motive, were available as investigators continued gathering evidence at the scene.
