A man is in custody after a shooting at a Montgomery County apartment complex on Sunday.

Deputies responded around 10:50 a.m. to the 7400 block of 7400 Bronson Street on reports of a shooting, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s spokesperson.
Upon arrival, deputies found another man who had been shot.
Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The spokesperson told News Center 7 that 23-year-old Jaylin Dumas is in custody.
He is booked on felonious assault charges.
The case will be presented to the prosecutor’s office for formal charges later this week.

News Center 7 obtained a 911 call reporting the shooting.
The caller told the dispatchers that she believes her neighbor was shot.
“That was too close, I smell the gunpowder,” the caller said.
She added that it sounded like the shooting took place right outside her door.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this shooting.
