A person was stabbed while attempting to intervene in a domestic dispute at a Wurtsboro residence on Sept. 23.
According to New York State Police, troopers responded just before noon on Sept. 23 to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Pine Street in the Village of Wurtsboro in Sullivan County.
An investigation revealed Timmy A. Bonilla, 32, of Wurtsboro, was involved in a domestic dispute with a 39-year-old woman that escalated into a physical altercation.
State police said a 21-year-old man who was present at the residence tried to intervene and was stabbed by Bonilla.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers arrested Bonilla without further incident.

Bonilla was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence, all felonies.
He was arraigned in Town of Mamakating Court and sent without bail to the Sullivan County jail, pending an Oct. 7 court appearance.
The name of Bonilla’s attorney was not immediately available.
