I am disgusted with Sen. David McCormick and other congressional Republicans’ continued betrayal of their oath to the Constitution. McCormick swore to protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Yet he continues to turn a blind eye to the corruption, chaos, and lawlessness perpetrated every day by the president and his cronies.
Trump is ignoring Supreme Court decisions. He is disappearing people off the streets of America, even U.S. citizens (including a youngster with stage 4 cancer). He let loose Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency to eliminate funding authorized by Congress. He’s threatening law firms, universities, the press, and judges. He’s instituted tariffs that are crippling the economy.
He’s fine with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth spreading top secret information with friends, family and the editor of The Atlantic. (What kind of consequences would McCormick have suffered if he did the same while in the service?)
Trump is threatening Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. However, McCormick probably couldn’t care less about these programs considering his tremendous wealth.
Know that Pennsylvania constituents are wise to this threat to democracy and the senator’s complicity in it.
