TAUNTON — The following students graduated from Taunton High School at the academic top of the senior class. The Class of 2025 from Taunton High School graduated on Sunday, June 1.
Emersyn DePonte, Valedictorian
Emersyn DePonte graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Adam and Kyla DePonte, Emersyn is a scholar-athlete who completed eight AP courses and earned the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. She is the Hockomock League Scholar Athlete and captain of the THS Cross Country and Track teams. Emersyn holds multiple school records in track and cross country and was honored as a Division I athletic commit. She also serves as President of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Interact Club. Emersyn will attend Northeastern University, majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience.
Natalie Duncan, Salutatorian
Natalie Duncan graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Robert and Roseann Duncan, Natalie excelled with 11 AP courses and was named an AP Scholar with Distinction. She won numerous awards in DECA competitions, earned Latin Exam honors, and received multiple scholarships, including the Francis W. Gallishaw Memorial Award. Natalie was President of Key Club, a member of the Student Advisory Committee, and participated in the Johnson & Johnson Emerging Leaders internship. She will attend Purdue University to major in Biomedical Engineering.
3. Harley Elizabeth Fowler
Harley Elizabeth Fowler graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Christine and Paul Fowler, Harley completed seven AP courses and has been recognized with numerous academic and artistic honors, including the AP Scholar with Honor Award, the High Art Award from the Attleboro Arts Museum, and the College Board National First-Generation Award. At THS, she was Senior Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook, a founding member of the Policy Debate Club, and an active participant in several other clubs. Harley received multiple scholarships and awards, including the URI Presidential Scholarship and the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. She will attend the University of Rhode Island to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

4. Savannah Maxi
Savannah Maxi graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Erin and Reginald Maxi, Savannah took eight AP courses and was honored with the Principal’s Award, AP National First-Generation Recognition, and AP National African American Recognition. She served in Student Council and Link Crew, helping to build school community and spirit. Savannah will continue her studies in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
5. Catherine Larson
Catherine Larson graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Angela and Scott Larson, Catherine completed seven AP courses and earned the AP Scholar with Honor designation. She is a leader on and off the field as captain of the THS Softball Team and a member of the Math Team, Marching Band, and Clarinet Choir. A four-time State Softball Champion and National Honor Society member, Catherine will bring her academic and athletic excellence to Georgetown University, majoring in Biology.
6. Julia Mendonca
Julia Mendonca graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Willitts and Anita Mendonca, Julia is a standout student who completed nine AP courses and earned the prestigious AP Scholar with Distinction Award. As Class President, she was a driving force in student leadership and also contributed to Interact Club, Student Council, SADD Club, and the National Honor Society. A dedicated athlete, she played Field Hockey and was involved in Peer Mediation. Julia will attend Bryant University to study Data Science.
7. Samuel Terra
Samuel Terra graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Son of Jeannine and Jeffrey Terra, Samuel completed seven AP courses and is a National Honor Society member. He competed in Track and Field, the Math Team, and SkillsUSA. Samuel will attend the University of Massachusetts Lowell, majoring in Biochemistry.
8. Mairead Flood
Mairead Flood graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Ann and Michael Flood, Mairead completed five AP courses and is a proud member of the National Honor Society. A Varsity Girls Soccer Captain, she also served as Treasurer for both the SADD Club and Active Minds. Mairead was awarded the Girl Scout Silver Award and received special recognition from Mayor Shaunna O’Connell. She plans to study Physical Therapy in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Springfield College.
9. Kelsey Rogers
Kelsey Rogers graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Daughter of Tammy and Chris Rogers, Kelsey has taken four AP courses during her time at Taunton High. A recipient of the College Board National Recognition Award and a member of the National Honor Society, Kelsey was also a Varsity Field Hockey player, a writer for the Tauntonian, and served on the prom fundraising committee. She gained early experience in education as a student teacher at Tiger Tots and Triumph Inc. Kelsey will attend Saint Anselm College, where she plans to major in Nursing.
10. Cameron Dorr
Cameron Dorr graduated in the top ten of the class of 2025 at Taunton High School.
Son of Debra and Timothy Dorr, Cameron completed seven AP courses and earned the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. He was a National Honor Society member, played THS Baseball, and participated in DECA. Cameron will study Business Administration and Finance at Nichols College.
