A Milwaukee Department of Public Works employee is on leave following a video showing him engaging in sex acts with someone.
“We are aware of the video. The content is alarming and this incident is currently under investigation. We take this matter very seriously,” department spokesperson Tiffany Shepherd said in an email.
The video, posted on Sept. 9, and with the date Aug. 27 included in its title, appears to take place in an alleyway and a public works vehicle is visible at multiple times throughout it.
The person recording the video appears to hiding in a bush for most of its 3-minute long duration.
The Journal Sentinel could not immediately reach the person who posted the video. However, the man spoke with Fox6, telling the news outlet it occurred at about 11 a.m., and called what he saw “mindboggling.”
A version of the video was posted on YouTube, but the channel has been removed for violating the platform’s community standards, according to a notice. A recording of it was still circulating on Facebook as of Sept. 11, along with other version of people screen recording it and sharing it.
The incident has not been reported to the Milwaukee Police Department, a spokesperson said in an email.
Shepherd declined to say whether city worker was on paid or unpaid leave or working on shift at the time of the video, citing the ongoing investigation.
