Sep. 11—- A driver suffered life-threatening injuries after his vehicle collided with a semitractor traveling in the opposite direction on Thursday in
Steven James Osvold, 45, of Moorhead, was transported to Sanford Medical Center in
North Dakota, for treatment.
According to a

Osvold was driving northbound in a 2022 Ford Escape as a 2015 Peterbilt semitractor was traveling southbound in Fairfield Township. The two vehicles collided near mile post 150 on U.S. Highway 59 in rural Holloway.
Osvold was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report, but the airbag in his vehicle did deploy.
Mark Rat Bertsch, 52, of Huron, South Dakota, is identified as the driver of the semitractor. He was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured, according to the State Patrol.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash reported around 11:58 a.m. Thursday, according to the State Patrol, and alcohol is not involved.
The Swift County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Morris Fire Department and Appleton Fire and Ambulance also responded.
