MPS and MPD investigating allegations of misconduct against Rufus King employee

Must read

A Rufus King High School employee is on leave due to allegations of misconduct, and now Milwaukee Public Schools and Milwaukee Police are investigating.

A Milwaukee Police spokesperson said in an email to a reporter that the department is investigating a report of sex offenses at 1:30 p.m. April 15 at 1800 W. Olive St. That address corresponds with Rufus King High School.

When asked by a reporter if the department was seeking any charges or had made any arrests in connection to the investigation, the spokesperson said the investigation was still active and open.

In an April 16 letter to parents, Rufus King principal Doreen Badillo said the employee is not working in the building, pending a full investigation. She also said that since the incident involves students and an employee, she could not release the name of the staff member or further details.
