Students at Stockton University were ordered to shelter in place while police investigated a shooting near the Galloway Township campus that injured at least one person, according to administrators.
One person was shot near West Jimmie Leeds Road and Redwood Avenue around 12:52 p.m. Thursday, Galloway Township police said. Meanwhile, the university said authorities were searching for two suspect who fled the scene in a white Honda SUV.
One the suspects is described as a white male with a green shirt and long blond hair, the university said. The car is believed to have driven through the campus.

The area where the shooting happened is near Vera King Farris Drive, the winding road that leads to Stockton’s main campus.
The university issued a shelter-in-place order at 1:19 p.m., according to an alert from campus officials. Students and staff were urged to stay indoors and not exit until the order was lifted.
Galloway Township police were expected to release more information as the investigation unfolded. Meanwhile, the university cancelled afternoon and evening classes.
