One person is dead and police believe a woman and child may be missing after a shooting late Monday in a south Lubbock apartment.
Police responded to a report of shots fired about 10:43 p.m. Monday in the 3800 block of 130th Street, according to a statement from Lubbock police
Upon arrival, officers located an individual inside an apartment with a gunshot wound. That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, officers had reason by early Tuesday to believe that a suspect kidnapped a woman and child from the apartment where the shooting occurred. Officers were working to locate the suspect, woman and child. Additional information was not immediately available as the investigation was ongoing.
