Offense: Attempted vehicle theft

Date and time: Tuesday, Sept. 16, about 2 a.m.

Location: Business parking lot along Route 73 in Boyertown

Police synopsis: Eastern Berks Regional Police said two individuals broke into a truck and attempted to start its engine. After being unsuccessful, they got into a white SUV and left the area. They were last seen on Route 73. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Alert or Eastern Berks Criminal Investigator Barry Kock at 610-369-3050.
