FISHERS — A Pendleton man has been arrested on suspicion of several child sex crimes, including the molestation of an infant.

According to a release from the Hamilton County Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Alec Hegge, 31, is charged with two counts of child molesting, a Level 1 felony. Investigators believe more charges will be filed as they continue to analyze Hegge’s online accounts.

Hegge worked with children with autism as a registered behavior therapist at Changing Lives Behavior Analysis in Anderson.

Reportedly, Hegge told investigators he never hurt a patient because there were too many safeguards in place. Hegge is no longer employed at the facility, and administrators there are cooperating with the investigation.

Families who worked with Hegge and believe they or their children may have been victimized are asked to call Detective Chris Borgmann at 317-595-3467.

The Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force, headquartered at the Fishers Police Department, includes detectives from the Anderson Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. The task force focuses on internet crimes against children and investigates child exploitation cases in Hamilton, Hancock, Madison and Tipton counties.
