A person was shot by Phoenix police near 16th and Roosevelt streets, officials confirmed.
No officers were injured, and there are no outstanding suspects, according to a post from the Phoenix Police Department on X.
Traffic restrictions on the 16th Street freeway off-ramp and along 16th Street are expected to remain in place overnight, Sgt. Brian Bower said.
The extent of the victim’s injuries was unknown as of 8 p.m. Oct. 10.
