Police ID remains found in Champlain as animal bones

CHAMPLAIN — Skeletal remains found in the town of Champlain on Wednesday evening have been confirmed as animal bones, State Police said.

Members of the New York State Police responded to a report of unidentified skeletal remains found in the area of Perry Mills Road, according to police. The remains were collected and processed to determine whether they are human or animal, police said.

Police confirmed the remains as animal bones Thursday.
