HIT-AND-RUN
• A 73-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies at 4:58 p.m. Sept. 8 that someone left the scene of a crash at Old U.S. 33 and Porter Avenue.
• A 30-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday someone crashed into his mailbox in the 69000 block of C.R. 33 and fled the scene.
ARRESTS
• A 57-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on charges of an active warrant and auto theft in the 11000 block of C.R. 4 in Middlebury. Officers also located a white 2018 Ford F150 that had previously been reported stolen. The stolen truck was recovered and secured at a tow lot.
• A 48-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday on charges of forgery, fraud and false reporting.
• A 44-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Goshen police at 12:02 a.m. Thursday on charges of reckless driving, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he reportedly failed to stop and led police on a high-speed pursuit near Lincoln Avenue and Third Street for violations.
• A 38-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Goshen police at 1:33 p.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of meth and paraphernalia following the execution of a search warrant in the 1100 block of South Ninth Street.
SEX CRIME
• Goshen police received a report at 5:44 p.m. Wednesday of a possible possession of child pornography.
• A woman reported to Goshen police at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday that her niece was sending intimate images.
UNLAWFUL SURVEILLANCE
A 35-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies at 2:44 p.m. Tuesday that she found two tracking devices on her vehicle.
BURGLARY
A 43-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that between Aug. 23 and Sept. 6 someone broke into his storage unit at Storage Rentals of America, 52292 C.R. 9, Elkhart, and stole about $16,000 in property.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
• A 39-year-old woman reported to Goshen police at 3:59 p.m. Wednesday criminal mischief at Roxbury Park Mobile Home Park.
• A 76-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that between 2 p.m. Sept. 6 and 4 p.m. Sept. 8 that his mailbox in the 28000 block of C.R. 4 in Elkhart was vandalized.
THEFT
• A woman reported to Elkhart County deputies at 1:45 p.m. Sept. 5 someone stole a pay box from a roadside stand in the 25000 block of C.R. 22 in Elkhart.
• A 26-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that between 9 p.m. Sept. 7 and 12:30 p.m. Thursday someone stole a red 2016 Yamaha Kodiak and a green 2016 Yamaha Kodiak from the 52000 block of Ash Road in Granger.
• A 23-year-old man reported to Goshen police at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday that his firearm was stolen from his home in the 1600 block of South 10th Street.
FRAUD
• A 41-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies on Monday that someone used her friend’s Facebook account to create a false advertisement to obtain money from her.
• A 31-year-old woman reported to Goshen police at 2:34 p.m. Wednesday fraudulent activity on her cash app.
