Recent sentencings in Fifth District Court: Sept. 25, 2025

Sep. 25—Six individuals were sentenced recently in criminal cases previously reported on by The Globe.

Wesley Mills

, 69, of Luverne, was sentenced Aug. 26 in Rock County Fifth District Court on one misdemeanor charge of trespassing following a June 2024 incident. According to the filed court document, two other charges of theft and fleeing a peace officer were dismissed. Mills was placed on supervised probation for one year and was fined $460 in court fees.

Anthony Potts

, 41, of Adrian, was sentenced Sept. 2 in Nobles County Fifth District Court on two felony counts, one of fifth degree drug possession and one of third degree driving while impaired following a September 2024 incident. According to the court document, Potts was sentenced to 12 months in a correctional facility, of which has been stayed for two years. He will also be on supervised probation for two years and was fined $1,190 in court fees.

Angel Yuca-Munoz

, 25, of Worthington, was sentenced Sept. 2 in Nobles County Fifth District Court on one gross misdemeanor charge of criminal vehicular operation following a September 2024 incident. According to the court document, Yuca-Munoz was sentenced to 360 days in jail, of which has been stayed for two years. He will also be on supervised probation for two years and was fined $785 in court fees.

Allen Vandekieft

, 28, of Jackson, was sentenced Sept. 17 in Jackson County Fifth District Court on one felony count of failing to register as a predatory offender following a March incident. According to the court document, Vandekieft was sentenced to 16 months in a correctional facility, of which has been stayed for two years. He will be on supervised probation for two years and was fined $1,090 in court fees.

Landon Gilmore

, 19, of Jackson, was sentenced Sept. 17 in Jackson County Fifth District Court on one felony count of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct following a May incident. According to the court document, one other charge of third degree criminal sexual conduct was dismissed. Gilmore was sentenced to 100 days in jail, with 100 days already credited and three years of supervised probation. He was also fined $965 in court fees.

Nathaniel Strom

, 41, of Storden, was sentenced Sept. 22 in Cottonwood County Fifth District Court on one gross misdemeanor count of fourth degree assault following a July incident. According to the filed court document, two other charges of threats of violence and domestic assault were dismissed. Strom was sentenced to 364 days in jail, with credit for two days already served. He will also be on supervised probation for two years and was fined $680 in court fees.
