A Red Bluff man has been sentenced to nearly 10 years in state prison for several felony charges, including threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend.

The Tehama County District Attorney’s Office said Zackery Cary Norbury, 38, of Red Bluff, threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend when she allegedly refused to allow Norbury to visit their dog because it was clear he had recently used drugs. Norbury became very angry and threatened to kill the victim, who believed he would carry out his threats, reported the District Attorney’s Office.

In another incident, Red Bluff police arrested Norbury on outstanding warrants. When he was taken to jail and during booking, deputies reportedly found 2.8 grams of methamphetamine on his person.
