RICHMOND, IN — A Richmond man has been accused of sexually assaulting a pre-teen girl.
Damon Eugene Jackson II, 32, was charged May 30 in Wayne Superior Court 1 with child molesting, a Level 1 felony carrying up to 40 years in prison.
Jackson was arrested the day the charge was filed and was being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $100,000 cash bond.
Richmond police said Jackson was accused of sexually assaulting the child in late April.
Interviewed by police on April 28, he denied the allegations.

He has received a Sept. 8 trial date.
According to court records, the Richmond man has been convicted of possession of meth, auto theft, resisting law enforcement and invasion of privacy.
