On Earth Day, April 22, Hampton Roads Transit will offer free fares on bus, light rail, ferry, Paratransit and OnDemand ridesharing services.
HRT will also host community cleanups supported by volunteers interested in hands-on opportunities. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up to spend one hour tidying bus stops.
Choose a bus stop location or HRT can assign one within the volunteer’s city. Volunteers can also pick a cleanup date and time. Safety vests and cleaning supplies will be issued.
