Apr. 17—ROCHESTER — The Rochester Police Department is investigating a reported carjacking around 1:45 a.m. Thursday, April 17.
According to an RPD release, the carjacking occurred outside of an apartment building on the 2000 block of 41st Street Northwest. Two suspects approached a parked vehicle with a handgun and demanded the vehicle’s occupants exit the car.
When the occupants got out of the vehicle, the two suspects took off in the car, the release said.
Officers saw the vehicle traveling nearby later and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspects continued driving and then fled on foot near 16th Avenue Northwest and 41st Street Northwest.
The suspects have not been located.
