Scranton woman threatens neighbors, curses at police

Must read

A Scranton woman threatened her neighbor with a knife and when police arrived she yelled and cursed at them, according to a criminal complaint.

Jenna Muldoon, 36, of 523 Taylor Ave., Room 6, faces charges of making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint:

At about 11 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the rooming house on a report of a woman threatening to cut her neighbor with a knife.

Kenya Thompson told officers Muldoon, who lived across the hall from her, banged on the door repeatedly and said, “I’m going to slice you.” She said Muldoon had been doing it since 4 a.m.

Thompson hadn’t seen a knife.

She said she didn’t know the name of the woman who had threatened her.

Officers noted they had responded twice to the rooming house earlier that evening, warning Muldoon that if she continued to yell in the common hallway, she’d be arrested for disorderly conduct and she agreed to stop.

Officers knocked on Muldoon’s door and asked her what happened. She said she was at the store and just got back.

They reminded her that they had just been there about 30 minutes before and she was there.

As officers were placing Muldoon in handcuffs, she was irate, uncooperative and cursed at them.

After police put her in the patrol vehicle, she “continued to yell and be uncooperative and began kicking the door.”

Muldoon remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. on June 25 before District Judge Kipp Adcock.
