The National Hurricane Center continues to track Invest 93L, which is taking its time crossing Florida and is still showing potential of becoming a tropical depression.
The area of low pressure was moving west across Florida’s Panhandle early Wednesday, July 16 and was expected to reach the coast of Louisiana by Thursday.

Even if the system doesn’t strengthen into a tropical depression or storm today, heavy rainfall could bring localized flash flooding across some portions of Florida July 16, especially in the Panhandle and along the West Coast.
The next named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season will be Dexter.
