Rockland County groups on Saturday launched the first Rockland Immigrant Heritage Day, focusing on “Celebrating Our Diversity.”
The event was held in front of Konbit Neg Lakay, a community center in Spring Valley that’s been helping immigrants since 1996.

Participants included: Konbit Neg Lakay; Proyecto Faro; Rockland Immigration Coalition; Rockland County Haiti Relief; and Center for Safety and Change, a victim-centered nonprofit.
