May 20—Thunderstorms are expected throughout north Alabama from Tuesday afternoon to midnight, according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville.
NWS expects storms to begin around 4 p.m., with the most severe storms being from 7 p.m. to midnight.
Heavy rainfall, damaging winds, tornadoes and hail are all possible, said NWS meteorologist Jennifer Saari.
Saari advises citizens to remain weather aware.
“We need to make sure they have more than one way to receive warnings and stay weather aware throughout the day,” Saari said.
Mostly sunny skies are expected Wednesday with winds at 10 mph.
