A sheriff’s deputy was bitten by a dog while responding to a call Saturday morning, according to a Clark County Sheriff’s Office sergeant.

The deputy was responding to a follow-up call in the 300 block of N Bechtle Avenue around 10:50 a.m. when the incident occurred.
The sergeant said the deputy suffered a minor skin wound to his right arm.
“The Deputy did seek medical attention as a precautionary measure at an emergency room,” the sergeant said.

The dog involved in this incident was placed on quarantine status at its owner’s house, according to the sergeant.
The Dog Warden will determine if the dog is properly vaccinated by the owner.
This incident remains under investigation by the Dog Warden, according to the sergeant.
