Two people were stabbed Tuesday, Sept. 2, in west Springfield, according to police.
Springfield Police Department officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Jonathan Avenue around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning for an assault. Lt. Jason Copley said there were two adult victims on scene when SPD responded, though the suspect had fled the scene.
The suspect was later found west of the scene, in the 700 block of North Elder Avenue, and apprehended. While Copley said the victims and suspect knew each other, he could not comment on what the relation was as the case was still being investigated, describing it as a “domestic related event.”
