Student-designed sign to be unveiled at Sideling Hill ceremony

Must read

Washington County Government will hold a sign dedication ceremony on Monday, July 28, at 1 p.m. at Sideling Hill Overlook. According to a community announcement, the site has recently reopened after significant renovations and now features upgraded picnic facilities.

The new sign was created through a partnership between Washington County Government and Washington County Public Schools, specifically Boonsboro High School’s Carpentry and Architectural Design Program. The project was led by teacher Mr. Young, with sophomore Aiden Gregg using digital design and CNC programming to bring the sign to life.

The county also collaborated with SignHere, a local business, to produce the custom George Washington logos displayed on the sign. This initiative highlights student innovation and the importance of community partnerships.
