A suspect has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man during an argument over a stolen bicycle on a Queens street, police said Tuesday.
Nelson Torres is charged with murder and weapon possession for the slaying at Junction Blvd. and Roosevelt Ave. near the border of Jackson Heights.
Cops nabbed Torres, 33, at the scene after they found Anderson Archila Martinez stabbed in the abdomen about 12:45 a.m. Monday. He was charged later that day.
The fatal fight began after Torres accused Archila Martinez of stealing a bicycle, cops said.
Medics rushed Archila Martinez to Elmhurst Hospital but he could not be saved. He lived in Spring Valley, Rockland County, about 22 miles north of Manhattan, according to cops.
Torres lives just four blocks from where the fatal stabbing took place. His arraignment in Queens Criminal Court was pending Tuesday.
