Swiss International University (SIU) has made its mark in the rapidly evolving realm of online higher education by being the first to market with its AI-enabled online courses (free of charge!), which are available to learners around the world. Students can complete the course and be awarded official certification, all at no cost.
Having pioneered virtual higher education more than a decade ago, SIU is now expanding its online learning experience in 2025 by integrating AI into its learning platform. Each course is delivered with its own AI engine, which incorporates more than 500 training rules specific to the course and can provide students with answers in any language based solely on the course’s academic materials. This initiative will offer a personalized learning experience to everyone, regardless of their language.
The program is designed to be completely open access. Therefore, individuals from all backgrounds can access high-quality education without having to deal with the normal burdens of enrollment and tuition fees. Scholarships pay for the courses, meaning budgets will not prevent students from completing coursework. Students can learn at their own pace and access materials anywhere, anytime, and on any device. Upon completing the coursework, participants will receive an official certificate electronically from the Switzerland branch of SIU.
The learning experience using AI is different from education as we know it. Unlike traditional chatbots, SIU’s AI adjusts to the exact material in the course and engages naturally and intelligently with students. SIU’s AI assistant ensures that all students receive pertinent and accurate information to help them better explore the many facets of complex topics in a manner that fits their learning styles. The entire question-answer process can occur in various languages, giving the whole format a larger worldwide scope and ensuring that no learner is excluded from learning because of different language support.
