Must read

Eight New Jersey-based companies have earned spots on U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 list of “Best Companies to Work For,” a ranking that evaluates employers across the country based on employee satisfaction, work-life balance and other key metrics.

The list, which highlights top-performing companies by industry and region, includes major Garden State employers such as ADP in Roseland, pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton, and real estate firm Anywhere Real Estate Inc. in Madison.

Other New Jersey companies that made the cut include OceanFirst Bank in Red Bank, Verisk Analytics and Organon in Jersey City, media company Wiley in Hoboken, and Certara, a drug development consultancy based in Princeton.

The ranking reflects a broad range of sectors, from pharmaceuticals and banking to professional services and publishing.

U.S. News used data from Revelio Labs, which analyzes employer attributes including pay, stability, comfort and professional growth. Companies that ranked in the top 25% of their industry or region were included on the list.

Several other major firms with a significant presence in New Jersey — including Merck, PSE&G and Prudential Financial — also appeared in the Northeast regional rankings.
