EAST LANSING — Runners, walkers and rollers made their way through Michigan State University’s campus for the 6th annual Izzo Run/Walk/Roll on April 27.

“Each year, we’re blown away by the turnout and generosity of this community,” Lupe Izzo, founder and president of the Izzo Legacy Foundation, said in news release. “This isn’t just a race—it’s about bringing our community together to make an impact in our own backyard.”

More than 7,200 people registered for the fundraiser, which includes a timed 5K run, walk, and roll and a half mile walk, including a kids’ run.

The event, which started in 2019, has brought in more than $750,000 for Lansing-area charities and nonprofits, including the Cristo Rey Community Center, the Greater Lansing Food Bank and Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center.
