Possible showers and thunderstorms are to be expected on July 19 and 20 as severe weather rolls into the Greater Cincinnati area, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
The agency is reporting a severe weather outlook for southeastern parts of Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Ohio.
These include Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland counties in Indiana; Carroll, Gallatin, Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Owen, Grant and Pendleton counties in Kentucky; and Darke, Miami, Clark, Preble, Montgomery, Greene, Butler, Warren, Clinton, Ross, Hamilton, Clermont, Brown and Highland counties in Ohio.
Severe weather is possible both days this weekend, with damaging winds as the primary threat. There is also the threat of heavy rain which could lead to flash flooding in some areas, the weather service reports.

Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 2 and 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 89 degrees. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73 degrees. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 a.m. High near 89 degrees. West wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 71 degrees. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
