A high-speed chase through four towns on Route 101 Friday evening ended with the arrest of a man wanted on a warrant for burglary in New York City, State Police said.
Anthony G. Finelli, 44, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice around 5:30 p.m. in Auburn, State Police said in a news release Sunday.
Epping Police began pursuit of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra driven by Finelli on Route 101 west. State troopers took over the pursuit when Finelli crossed into Raymond. The chase continued through Candia and into Auburn at a high rate of speed, State Police said.
Finelli drove over deflation devices deployed by Candia Police but continued to flee at slower speeds, State Police said. Auburn Police then deployed tire deflation devices near Exit 2 and the Hyundai’s tires finally ran out of air as Finelli turned onto Hooksett Road and stopped in a parking lot of a local business.
Troopers took Finelli into custody. In addition to being charged as a fugitive from justice, Finelli faces two counts of reckless conduct, one count of disobeying an officer and one count of obstructing government administration.
He was held at the Rockingham County jail pending an arraignment on Monday in Candia District Court.
