President Donald Trump boasted about the “quality and beauty” of the gold in the White House — showcasing some of it in a new video as part of a wild post on Truth Social.
Late Sunday, the president shared a 37-second video featuring various glimmering accessories spread out across a table.
“Some of the highest quality 24 Karat Gold used in the Oval Office and Cabinet Room of the White House,” Trump wrote — captioning the video. “Foreign Leaders, and everyone else, ‘freak out’ when they see the quality and beauty. Best Oval Office ever, in terms of success and look!!!”

Trump has been somewhat fixated on the gold in the White House during his second term. In March, he told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he thought the Oval Office “needed a little life” and opted for a major infusion of gold as part of the makeover. Since then, he’s turned almost everything in the room gold — from the curtains down to the coasters.
The president reportedly covered the cost of the redesign and even brought in a “gold guy” from Florida — a cabinetmaker named John Icart, who had previously done work at Mar-a-Lago — to make it happen.
But Icart didn’t change everything about the historic room. The gold curtains behind the Resolute Desk — which were in place during President Joe Biden’s term — are still part of the office.
