Two people died in an a crash at the intersection of Illinois 121 and 1100th Street, about seven miles southeast of Lincoln the afternoon of May 30, according to the Illinois State Police.
The two people killed were in the same vehicle. The crash involved a semi-truck and an unoccupied vehicle.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person was pronounced dead at Lincoln Memorial Hospital‘s emergency room, said Logan County deputy coroner Donald Peasley, reached by The State Journal-Register on June 1.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.
The crash site was near the unincorporated area of Chestervale in Logan County.
A report provided by Trooper Shannon Barrea, a public information officer with ISP, did not provide details of the crash.
The victims’ names have not been released. Families have been notified, Peasley said.
Illinois 121 was temporarily closed following the crash from County Road 1200 North to 1600th Avenue, according to the ISP report.
