LAKE TWP. ‒ Uniontown police are investigating multiple arsons that took place in the community over the last couple of days and are asking for the public’s help in solving the crimes.
Police posted a message on social media warning residents about the fires. They noted that on June 8 a large trash bin was set on fire at a warehouse on Apache Street, a bathroom was set on fire at Uniontown Community Park and two bathroom facilities were set on fire at the Diamond baseball fields off Kreighbaum Road, an area that’s overseen by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 9, a 16-passenger van was set on fire at the warehouse on Apache Street.
The fires took place between 1 and 4 a.m.
“We are asking the residents in our police jurisdiction to call us if they see anything suspicious,” police said. “We are also asking the public to check their security cameras, ring doorbell cameras, etc. during those two days from 1am-4am, for footage that shows anyone suspicious during those hours.”
