May 8—Visit Albuquerque is now accepting applications for its Tourism Grant Program, which supports projects that enhance the city’s appeal as a travel destination.

Visit Albuquerque expects to award $500,000 during the 2025 grant cycle, according to a news release. For-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations can apply, so long as they are located in New Mexico and federally registered, the release added.

The application cycle will close June 4, and interested applicants must attend one of two informational sessions held virtually on May 13 and May 29. Awards will be announced in late June and doled out in July.

Eligible projects include “development of products or assets for experiences,” as well as infrastructure improvements, transportation enhancements or programs related to Route 66, among others, the news release said.

“By investing in distinctive experiences and initiatives, we are helping to showcase the rich diversity and vibrancy of our city,” Visit Albuquerque President and CEO Tania Armenta said in a statement.
