Voter information pamphlets sent to San Diego residents ahead of special election

Must read

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Registered voters across San Diego County can expect to receive pamphlets in the mail with information on California’s special election on Nov. 4.

The pamphlet includes a sample ballot, information on voting options and important deadlines. November’s special election will have Californians decide on Proposition 50, the state’s proposed redistricting map.

Aside from redistricting, residents who live in Poway District Two will be able to vote on the recall of Tony Blain, a councilmember who has been accused of abusing his power, attempted bribery and harassment.

Those who registered to receive voter information electronically will receive an email with their pamphlet attached.

Ballots will be sent out the week of Oct. 6. Voters can cast their ballot by mail, at an official drop box or at a voting center. Residents can vote anytime from Oct. 7 through Election Day.

Ballot drop boxes are located across the county, a complete list can be found on the county website.
