Westminster man arrested for possession of child pornography:

A Westminster man was arrested on Thursday, May 8, on child pornography charges following a multi-agency investigation, according to the Westminster Police Department.

Zachary Beaudet, 21, was arrested after police executed a search warrant for the residence at 123 South Ashburnham Rd. at approximately 6 a.m., according to the press release.

Officers worked in coordination with the Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, as well the police departments in Gardner, Lunenburg, Sterling and Boylston.

The warrant was issued as part of an ongoing investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography. During the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices. Subsequent examination of the evidence led to the arrest of Beaudet, who was charged with possession of child pornography and arraigned later in the day at Gardner District Court.

According to the release, the operation was a coordinated team effort, reflecting the strong collaboration and shared commitment of multiple law enforcement agencies to protect vulnerable populations and bring offenders to justice.
