Target is the third-largest department store in New Jersey according to ScrapeHero, and is growing as a grocery destination.
But you may be missing on savings if you don’t shop Target’s array of private label brands, including its expansive Good & Gather groceries line.

What are private label brands?
Private label brands are a way for a company or manufacture to offer products which directly compete with better-known brands by offering lower prices.
“A private label product is one that a retailer gets produced by a third-party but sells under its own brand name. The retailer controls everything about the product or products. That includes the specs of the product, how it’s packaged, and everything else besides,” read the website for marketing resource Big Commerce. “Private label products are then delivered to the retailer to sell.
“As far as consumers are concerned, they’re the company’s ‘own brand’ products.”
What are Target’s private label brands?
Target has over 40 private label brands which span food, fashion, houseware, jewelry and snacks.
The chain’s Good & Gather label covers more than 2,500 grocery products and includes a premium line called Good & Gather Signature. Target has said it plans to deepen its private-label grocery offerings.
