TLC is usually in the right: Don’t be chasing waterfalls.
But it is fun to hike to a waterfall, so consider taking a trip to Rhode Island’s tallest waterfall.
However, before we can get to which of the Ocean State’s waterfalls is the state’s tallest, you should know that Rhode Island’s tallest waterfall is the second shortest among the 50 states’ tallest waterfalls.
The actual shortest waterfall of all the tallest waterfalls in each state of the country is the Brandywine State Park’s waterfall in Delaware, which measures 5 feet in height.
Rhode Island only has 7 feet on that.
The Cascade Brook Falls is located within the Ken Weber Conservation Area.
Cascade Brook Falls – Tallest waterfall in Rhode Island
The tallest waterfall in Rhode Island is the Cascade Brook Falls in Smithfield, Rhode Island, and measures 12 feet in height, according to New England Waterfalls.
If that doesn’t sound very tall when it comes to waterfalls, then you would be correct. For reference, the tallest waterfall in the continental United States is the Colonial Creek Falls in Washington state, which has a vertical drop of 2,568 feet, meaning the Cascade Brook Falls would fit into it 214 times.
Hypothetically, if Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, who is 6 foot and 8 inches tall, was standing on a six-foot ladder, then he would be eight inches taller than the Cascade Brooke Falls’ vertical drop.
You can visit Cascade Brook Falls inside the Ken Weber Conservation Area, which is located just off of Mapleville Road.
