The end of summer is near, and kids across Kentuckiana are getting ready to start the 2025-2026 school year.

While many of the metro area’s districts are set to return in the first or second week of August, three will return in late July.

Here is when school starts in districts around Louisville.

Jefferson County Public Schools

JCPS students will return to classrooms on Thursday, Aug. 7.

Archdiocese of Louisville

Students attending Archdiocese of Louisville schools will return to classrooms on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Bullitt County Public Schools

BCPS students will return to classrooms on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Greater Clark County Schools

Greater Clark County students will return to classrooms on Thursday, July 31.

New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated Schools

Students in the New Albany-Floyd County district will return to classrooms on Wednesday, July 30.

Oldham County Schools

Oldham County students will return to classrooms on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Silver Creek School Corporation

Silver Creek students will return to classrooms on Tuesday, July 29.

Spencer County Schools

Spencer County students will return to classrooms on Thursday, Aug. 7.
