Whipped cream smiles, Frisbee dogs and monster trucks steal the show at Strawberry Fest

Must read

The Strawberry Fest at the Marion County fairgrounds Saturday brought strawberry lovers from all over Marion.

Visitors were invited to taste all types of strawberry flavored treats, enjoy fair food, take a ride on the monster truck and have some fun in bounce houses.

Kids could test their stomachs at the hands-free pie eating contest or for children younger than 2 years old, try out for the Berry Cute Baby contest.

During the hands-free pie eating contest, kids finished their slices of pie in around 10 seconds. Most didn't walk away without at least some whipped cream on their faces.

A variety of craft vendors offered all sorts of handmade items for sale.

One of the biggest attractions for the Strawberry festival was the Disc-Connected K9‘s, which featured a group of Frisbee catching dogs.

The dogs were trained to jump, flip and catch frisbees, showing off carefully crafted routines.
