Georgia’s influence in Washington is significant, with three prominent figures from the state holding key positions in Trumps cabinet and on his staff.
The latest addition is former State Senator Brandon Beach, who has been appointed as the 46th Treasurer of the U.S. in March 2025.
Beach joins two other Georgians: Doug Collins and Kelly Loeffler. Here is more about them.
Who is Brandon Beach?

The 64 year-old republican, former Alpharetta City Council member and former State Senator, is now the Treasurer of the U.S. In his role, he has “direct oversight of the U.S. Mint and Fort Knox and is a key liaison with the Federal Reserve,” according to home.treasury.gov. “Additionally, the Treasurer serves as a senior advisor to the Secretary on community development and engagement.”
“Serving in the State Senate has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I’m deeply thankful for the trust and support of my constituents and colleagues,” said Beach in a press release when resigning from State Senate. “President Donald J. Trump has given me the opportunity of a lifetime to help rebuild and secure our economic future as U.S. Treasurer. We are witnessing a bold conservative resurgence, and I’m proud to stand with President Trump as we restore American strength, defend taxpayer dollars and put America First. I will bring that same commitment to the Treasury Department and always remember the people and southern values that brought me here.”
He was born in Louisiana and attended LSU. He is an Alpharetta resident is married to Shuntel Beach and has one son who is 33 years-old.
Who is Kelly Loeffler?

The 54 year-old republican, former Georgia Senator (2020-2021), serves as the 28th administrator of the Small Business Administration since February 2025.
She was the second female to represent Georgia in the Senate. She is married to Jeffrey Sprecher, the CEO of Intercontinental Exchange and chairman of the New York Stock Exchange.
According to Wikipedia, they live in Atlanta in a $10.5 million, 15,000-square-foot estate, which was then the most expensive residential real estate transaction ever recorded in Atlanta.
Who is Doug Collins?

The 58 year-old republican, Collins is an American lawyer, politician, and military officer serving as the 12th U.S. secretary of veterans affairs since 2025.
He was previously served in Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2013, representing the 27th district (parts of Hall County, Lumpkin County, and White County).
Collins served as a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve since 2002, but was promoted in 2023 to colonel.
