Drought conditions are getting worse in Florida, and no rain is expected for the state this week.
There were 57 wildfires currently burning in Florida on Tuesday, April 15, affecting almost 2,000 acres, according to the Florida Forest Service. Most are contained.
One of the largest fires is located in the the Panhandle, which has received the most rainfall over the past few months.

Calf Barn Road Fire in Gulf County burning more than 100 acres
The largest wildfire in the state Tuesday morning, April 15, was the Calf Barn Road fire in Gulf County.
The 108-acre fires was 90% contained.
13 active wildfires burning in Florida
There were 57 wildfires burning in Florida April 15, 2025.
Elsewhere in the state, there were 13 active wildfires burning as of Tuesday morning.
The largest are:
Calf Barn Road Fire: Gulf County, 108 acres. 90% contained.
Lazy D Farm Road Fire: Lee County, 33 acres. 95% contained.
Corinna Street Fire: Escambia County, 30 acres. 95% contained.
NE 134th Street Fire: Alachua County, 25 acres. 60% contained.
Englewood Sports Complex Fire: Sarasota County, 6.7 acres. 95% contained.
